The Chromatin is made up packaged chromosomes (DNA) and it is located in the nucleus of the cell. Its purpose in mitosis is to strengthen the DNA. During prophase the Chromatin is condensed in order to carry out the replication. Once the process is over it forms again in the replicated cells.

The Chromosome is made up of one coiled DNA. These structures are seen during metaphase. The Chromosomes like up in the middle of the cell. Microtubules reach out from the centromeres on opposite sides of the cell and attach themselves to the Chromosome on the kinectochore ( a region in the centromere located in the middle of the chromosome).

A Chromatid is half of a chromosome. Two sister chromatids joined by a centromere make up a chromosome. These structures are seen in anaphase once they are pulled away from the center of the cell by the microtubules.
